Martina Willis · The Coherence Architect

Systems that let you stay fully human.

I build from the inside out — companies, sanctuaries, technologies, and systems of care. Each one a different expression of the same signal.

What lets a living system stay coherent while its parts stay free?

Martina Willis
The Coherence Architect

People often ask me what I actually do, and for years I gave the answer that fitted the room — strategist, builder, advisor. The honest answer is simpler and stranger. I have spent my life on one question, and everything I make is an attempt to answer it: what lets a living system — a person, a family, a company, a country — stay coherent while the parts of it stay free?

The Spiral Architecture is as far as that question has come. It is written down as a framework for those who want the grammar and as a handbook for those who want to live by it. It is being built into a house and a piece of land in Andalusia. It talks back to you in Solin, and it is being applied to how an economy could run. Six forms, one architecture — and I don’t teach any of them. I transmit them, by how I work with you. This site is the map of where they all are.

“The axis is stable. The form is free.”

Martina, verbatim

One purpose: creating systems that bring more coherence into how we live, care, build, and relate.

    The Spiral Economy

What if the problem is not capitalism or socialism, but the architecture underneath both?

The central economic problem may not be markets versus planning, or growth versus degrowth, but the architecture through which value, power, resources and capacity move. A different starting point.

The Human Is Not a Slow Machine

On presence, coherence, and the one race AI can never win

We have been trying to win a race we were never meant to run. The machine will always win the efficiency race. That was never the problem to solve.

Who holds this

The Coherence Architect

Two decades at the top of enterprises — Airbus, Microsoft, the rooms where decisions are made — and underneath every one of those years, something subtler kept calling. Not louder; deeper. The coherence that holds when everything else shifts. That is what I work on now, in relationship to all of it: the framework, the handbook, the home, Solin, the economy. I don’t teach people how to become themselves. I build architecture that lets them live, work and build as themselves without giving up their own agency when they become part of something larger. I am a mother. I live between Switzerland and Andalusia. Life is the measure.
